splicing sponser
They need a guillotine guru to follow through,
I need someone who will remain with the truth,
They need habitual gutter zombie to index a hanging,
I need damage control in in a cut-throat damnation,
The splicing sponsor rewrote my diary
now I am filtering through gullible sporting and real empathy,
The despot derby mocks in mimicry
While the inspiration remains a thin string theory,
I need a fissure fix for the fingerprint of my destiny,
or become another little fish in the mouth of sharkery,
I pray for a shark skinning to wear on the wristwatch of fate,
To flag the Great White like a campaign of change.
The flytrap is nearing and the devil-may care cyclotron fakes endearing.
What will become of me if I tear from the tyranny?
I pray God still has sympathy for mans falsity.

Congratulations to the new Poet of the Month above. I'm running a little late this month and it's the shortest of the year. So get those poems in early. I don't know what happened, it was January and I looked at my watch today and it was February. You're lucky I have the year right.

Just got this one in under the wire. When I saw MassiveWanker74 I thought, dirty name, I might have to do some deleting for the kiddos. But as I explored further I realized it was legit. I chose Popcorn and Vodka and not because I like popcorn. It made me think of martini's. Dirty martinis, to be specific, dirty martinis with extra olives. The night practically writes itself. ohh, Yummy. So heres to dirty martinis and dirty names. Congratulations MassiveWanker74.

I don't know, I smell a winner and so early in the month. I was really touched by the most recent poem. The rest of you are going to be hard pressed to surpass this one. Perhaps there is on of you out there with the temerity to try. I don't like to be prejudiced but sometimes the heartstrings are pulled in just the right way.
